I affectionately call the role of Tangie in this episode of BUCK ROGERS my "space age hooker" role!  She was originally written to have a much harder edge, but when I began to play her, I could feel her desperate need to leave her surroundings.  She would have done anything to escape.  Therefore, I chose to bring that element, combined with a genuine attraction to Buck, into the role...my "hooker with a heart," so-to-speak.

My costume was entirely made of mirrors.  And, as you know, mirrors do not bend.  This meant that once I put it on in the morning, I couldn't sit down for the rest of the day.  They gave me Marlena Dietrich's slant-board to recline against between takes.  Everyone would go off to lunch, but my costume was too difficult to get in and out of, so I would simply eat my lunch slanting against the board and wait til everyone got back.  Although a bit of a pain, it was worth it.  I think it's the most beautiful piece of wardrobe I ever had the privilege of wearing.
